 A Brief History

My wife and I are the tired parents of two very energetic kids. They both love playgrounds! Ever since we visited Tivoli in Copenhagen, Denmark, we started to realize that playgrounds are a great way to get to know a new community. My fitbit says I haven’t slept more than six hours in…8 years, so a good cup of coffee on the weekend is much loved.

We decided to start writing about our experiences, inspired by the great blog by the Meanest Momma, but with a heavier level of nerding out on cool playground equipment, landscape design, urban planning, and a coffee shop nearby.

I am an engineer with a passion for sustainability, historic preservation, and developing healthy environments. There’s nothing better than seeing the joy and hearing the laughter of my kids playing.
