Rare Bird Coffee and a Lincoln Park
To wrap up our 4th of July weekend, we decided to checkout a coffee shop and playground in Falls Church, VA. We were really impressed by our coffee shop find and equally charmed by Lincoln Park, nestled in a nice residential area.
Insights
If we were to design a perfect coffee shop, Rare Bird coffee might be it.
Check out the cool plants for sale: I’ve tried to grow plants in a jar and have never had any luck. Maybe they need the aroma of coffee to kickstart them off.
There are a few toys from Doodlehopper, a great toy store next door.
Lincoln Park has a bunch of beautiful rain gardens with educational signage. As neighborhoods become more developed, stormwater drainage becomes more and more critical.
This park shows the diversity of playsets from a single company: Game Time.
There’s a nice basketball court within the park, covered with donated kid-sized vehicles. This is a great place to learn to ride a bike!
