Doughnuts and a Train in the Woods

Doughnuts and a Train in the Woods

We tried a new adventure in the Ballston area of Arlington and then headed to an old favorite, Bluemont Park. This was one of my son’s favorite parks when he was 2 years old!

Insights

  1. Check out the huge donut on display. Great for sharing with coworkers at work (or a bunch of hungry kids!)

  2. We loved the map of Arlington on the wall and the eggbeater style lamps.

  3. Make sure to bring a picnic lunch (or breakfast) and enjoy the picnic tables that line the creek that runs through Bluemont Park.

  4. When my son was two, he refused to climb on the net structure in the park. My two-year old daughter decided to do it without any help. We’re in trouble!

  5. We saw a lot of parents towing their kids behind on bicycles. The trail system in the area is great!
