Swiss Bakery and a Boardwalk
After a fabulous two weeks in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, we really missed our visits to the Swiss Bakery! This is a great place to buy all all sorts of delicious baked Swiss goods, as well as chocolate and other delicacies imported from Switzerland. We paired this week’s visit with a trip to Neabsco Boardwalk, a nice walk to do before a visit IKEA or Potomac Mills in Woodbridge.
Insights
The Swiss Bakery offers both breakfast and lunch. My son loves the Berliners and I’m quite partial to their coffee. The bakery is pretty unassuming, but is conveniently located just off the Braddock Rd exit on the Beltway.
The Neabsco Boardwalk opened in June of 2019 and offers over a 3/4 mile jaunt over a wonderful nature preserve. If you like the boardwalks at Huntley Meadows or Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, you’ll find this one even more impressive!
The playground near the Boardwalk is about a quarter mile East of the Boardwalk entrance and is located adjacent to a recently opened parking lot.
There are several connector trails off the Boardwalk’s west end.
